Don't Make Us Pull Out the Fashion Show Pictures

Thanks to everyone for such great suggestions on how to get The Piton into the black. After a weekend of deliberation, we've decided on two strategies.

1) A small "Tip Jar" link has been added to the top of the site. It all happens through TypePad, via PayPal. Our goal is to cover our hosting, traffic reporting and other small Piton related expenses. The minimum donation is a measly $2 and these donations can be anonomous, or you leave us a note if you want us to show some public gratitude.

2) We are also creating a small collection of "Piton" merchandise available for you to purchase. The site is under development and will go live in about a week. The mechanics of credit card transactions and shipping has us a bit scared, but we are up for the challenge. This will hopefully fund some equipment that we'd like to aquire for future Piton content.

We've decided against turning on Google AdSense links. Our traffic isn't large enough to generate any income, and we just felt they made the site look cheap.

So pay up suckas! We feel we have enough incriminating photos of Outdoor Industry exec's to pay for at least a few days of skiing in Salt Lake.
